Pahtia comes from the Nahuatl word for “to heal.” The brand began when co-founder Paulina, a weightlifter who’d come to value strong, free-moving feet, went looking for sandals that were both foot-friendly and genuinely beautiful, and couldn’t find them. So she and her sister Anaid set out to make them. Designed by women, for women, and made in Mexico, Pahtia’s Foundation Collection pairs genuine leather with flexible, anti-slip soles and a cushioned footbed.
