Size conversion is a guideline, not algebra
US, UK, EU and Mondopoint do not share one scale, so two brands can disagree by half a size without either one being wrong.
The scales do not line up
US and UK labels use different offsets, while EU and Mondopoint use different grading steps. Some conversions land between standard whole or half sizes.
The starting scale matters
The system a shoe starts in can change the closest equivalent. This converter keeps that distinction instead of flattening everything into one chart.
Fit still belongs to the model
A converted label does not tell you the width, toe-box shape or volume. Check those against the actual model.
How the conversion works
The converter uses ISO 19407:2023, keeps the underlying EU, UK and Mondopoint grading separate, and handles US men’s and women’s scales separately too.
Mondopoint uses foot length as the common reference. The ISO table maps the major adult systems from that reference while keeping EU and UK grading separate. US men’s and women’s labels use different offsets.
Australia/New Zealand and Mexico are not included because this ISO table does not cover those size labels. For those, use the brand’s local chart.

The useful details when shoe-size labels do not line up cleanly.
Is a shoe size conversion exact?
Not always. US, UK, EU and Mondopoint do not line up one-to-one, so a conversion can land between standard labels. This tool shows the closest ISO-based equivalent.
Why can a brand show a different EU or UK equivalent?
Brands can start from different grading systems and use their own labelling conventions. That is why the same shoe length can appear with a slightly different converted label.
Why are US men and US women separate?
US men’s and women’s scales use different offsets, so the same foot length is labelled differently. The converter keeps them separate.
What do Mondopoint, Japan, Korea and China sizes mean here?
They are length-based markings. Mondopoint, Korea and China are shown in millimetres here; Japan is shown in centimetres.
Does a CM label always mean foot length?
Not always. A CM or CMS label usually points to a Mondopoint-style length, but some brands use it for last length instead. Check the chart heading before comparing it with your foot measurement.
Can this tell me the exact barefoot shoe size to buy?
Not on its own. It converts the size label; actual fit also depends on width, toe shape, volume and the model’s own size chart.
Why are Australia, New Zealand and Mexico not in the converter?
The ISO table used here does not provide those mappings, so we leave them out rather than guess. Use the brand’s local chart instead.
