The high level of cotton (67% Cotonea Cotton) makes it especially robust and abrasion-resistant, while the hemp-flax fleece padding and soft flannel-linen lining also keep our feet warm and dry on cooler days. No animal-based materials are used in this model. Around 33% of the outer sole material is recycled, and the membrane is made of 100% polyester, 75% of which is recycled. Material Upper: Fantasy weave (67% certified organic cotton, 33% certified organic linen) – honey yellow Membrane: 100% polyester containing approx. 75% recycled material Lining / insole: Hemp-flax fleece (50% hemp, 50% flax) Interior lining / mid-sole: Flannel (100% certified organic cotton) Edging: Microfiber (100% polyamide) – honey yellow Outsole: 60% synthetic rubber containing approx. 33% recycled material, 25% silica, 15% recycled cork – toffee Fit True to size as measured with the Fitkit . Runs a little wider and provides ample room at the forefoot. For narrow feet, we recommend an insole. Care Waterproofing before first-time wear There is no need to apply waterproofing treatment to the entire shoe right out of the box – that has already been taken care of during production (and in this case, doubling up won’t make it last longer). Before first-time wear, we do recommend that you waterproof the edging again. This may cause the edging to darken slightly, so don’t be surprised. Tip: Using a brush is the best way to apply the waterproofing product. If you choose to spray it on, be sure to cover the rest of the shoe. Repeat the waterproofing treatment as needed. Cleaning The best way to clean soiled shoes is by knocking them together when they are dry, brushing them carefully as needed when dry, or by wiping them carefully with a damp cloth. Not machine washable. Post-treatment We recommend periodic follow-up waterproofing treatments with a suitable product. Additional notes Every single shoe is a handmade one of a kind, with an upper made from natural material. The structure and coloration may exhibit minor irregularities. A hue appears different depending on the lighting conditions. That's why colors always look a little different on the screen, in artificial light at home, or outside in sunlight. When putting on, please note: Widen the opening of the shoe sufficiently by loosening the laces. This minimizes wear on the material and extends the life of the shoe.
