Be Lenka Snowfox is a barefoot shoe designed specifically for kids to keep their feet warm and comfortable during the winter. It features a nubuck leather toe cap that is water-repellent, protecting the shoe from scratches and moisture. The shoe also has a protective waterproofing membrane and an insulating aluminium layer to provide complete protection from the cold.
The Be Lenka Snowfox has several other features that enhance barefoot comfort and natural foot development. It has a wide toe box that allows for proper toe splay and flexibility. The sole of the shoe is only 6mm thick, making it lightweight and flexible.
The materials used in the shoe include textile, chipboard, nubuck leather (water-repellent), wool, latex, merino wool, aluminium foil, and rubber (composed of 10% recycled sole remnants). The shoe is handcrafted in Portugal.
The Be Lenka Snowfox 2.0 version has merino wool and wool lining, which keeps the feet warm and toasty. There is also a water-repellent membrane between the lining and the upper to keep out moisture. The shoe has an ingenious lacing system with a stopper for an excellent fit. The insole of the shoe is equipped with an aluminium layer to prevent cold from penetrating. Regular use of a waterproofing spray can improve the shoe's water repellency and make it easier to maintain.
