Felted wool feels soft and warm on one’s feet while also being ultra lightweight and breathable. The material used for Lotus consists of 90% German merino wool and a 10% blend of recycled, organically produced wool fibers. In total, Lotus is composed of just three main components that can later be separated by type – laying the groundwork for progress toward our ultimate goal: complete recycling.
Handicraft made in Finland
This slipper achieves its shape thanks to a family-owned Finnish company. In a special process, moistened felt sheets are molded on a last and then left to dry so that their durable snuggliness can be preserved for the long term. What a stroke of luck for everyone who loves Wildling shoes, since today, there are only a handful of companies in Europe that have mastered this kind of felting handicraft.
Sole debut
The Lotus is the first to feature a brand-new sole. It has been pared down to the essentials even more, paying tribute to the minimalist aspirations of all Wildling shoes.

Upper / mid-sole:
Wool felt (100% virgin wool – including 90% German merino wool and 10% recycled wool blend) – heathered cream gray (undyed)
Outsole:
60% synthetic rubber containing approx. 33% recycled material, 25% silica, 15% recycled cork – caramel
Fit

. You may use an additional insole. For example, if you have particularly narrow or flat feet and you prefer more support in the shoe.
Care
Waterproofing before first-time wear
This minimal shoe is water-permeable. Consequently, waterproofing is not necessary.
Cleaning
The best way to clean soiled shoes is by knocking them together when they are dry, brushing them carefully as needed when dry, or by wiping them carefully with a damp cloth. Not machine washable.

Every single shoe is a handmade one of a kind, with an upper made from natural material. The structure and coloration may exhibit minor irregularities.
A hue appears different depending on the lighting conditions. That's why colors always look a little different on the screen, in artificial light at home, or outside in sunlight.
