Cahor's upper is made of a cotton-hemp blend, which is dyed with Earthcolor®️ by Archroma. Archroma produces dyes from by-products of the food and agricultural industry. The fabric gets a very special, slightly irregular look thanks to the hemp fibers. The lining is undyed and, just like the model's insole, is made of organically produced cotton. The model is designed in a particularly material-conscious way. Due to the heel loop made of its upper, a smaller number of different materials is required in the production of this shoe. Material Upper / Edging: Canvas (60% certified organic cotton, 40% hemp) – rose gray Interior lining / mid-sole: 100% certified organically grown cotton Insole: Hemp-flax fleece (50% hemp, 50% flax) [removable] Outsole: 60% synthetic rubber containing approx. 33% recycled material, 25% silica, 15% recycled cork – off-white Fit True to size as measured with the Fitkit . In case of an in-between size we recommend choosing the next smaller size. Due to its material, the shoe is slightly less snug around the collar than the model Kami. Our Customer Service team is happy to advise you individually. Care Waterproofing before first-time wear There is no need to apply waterproofing treatment to the entire shoe right out of the box. Cleaning The best way to clean soiled shoes is by knocking them together when they are dry, brushing them carefully as needed when dry, or by wiping them carefully with a damp cloth. Not machine washable. We recommend removing the insoles from the shoes after use for airing and to avoid moisture build-up. They can be carefully washed by hand. Allow to dry completely before putting them back. Not machine washable. Post-treatment We recommend periodic follow-up waterproofing treatments with a suitable product. Additional notes Every single shoe is a handmade one of a kind, with an upper made from natural material. The structure and coloration may exhibit minor irregularities. A hue appears different depending on the lighting conditions. That's why colors always look a little different on the screen, in artificial light at home, or outside in sunlight. The fabrics are dyed in a very gentle and environmentally-friendly manner, with no added chemicals. As a result, the color of the upper material may fade, and abrasion may create a kind of denim effect with a washed-out look.
