A few things worth knowing
What the finder can narrow down - and what you still need to judge for yourself.
What does the Barefoot Shoe Finder actually do?
It takes your answers and opens the Minimal List shoe directory with the relevant filters already applied. It is a faster way to get from hundreds of shoes to a manageable list; it is not a personal fit or performance recommendation.
Why did I get very few results?
Every must-have narrows the list. Go back to the directory filters and remove the least important one first - for example On sale or a material preference - while keeping the use and wearer filters that matter most.
How should I use the wide-toe-box filter?
Treat it as a useful first cut, not proof that a shoe will fit a wide foot. Once you have a shortlist, compare the exact model’s toe-box shape, measurements where available, and current size guide.
What should I check before buying one of the results?
Check the exact model’s intended use, current size guide, price and return terms. For running or trail shoes, also look at the outsole and the terrain the model is designed for rather than relying on the activity tag alone.
